How is Key Club organized?

International
Key Club International encompasses all clubs within the group's 33 organized districts and in countries that are not included in any specific district. Key Club International is led by the International Board, which is comprised of the International President, International Vice President, and 11 International Trustees, all students and active Key Club members.

District
A district is normally defined by state or nation and tends to match a similar Kiwanis district. Each district is chaired by a governor, who is elected by delegates at the annual district convention. Many districts are then sectioned into regions that make it easier to oversee. Colony Key Club is a part of the Cali-Nev-Ha District (CNH), Region 13.

Division
Each district is divided into territories called divisions, which are made up of various clubs. Our division, D15 West, is made up of 7 schools: Chino, Chino Hills, Colony, Diamond Ranch, Montclair, Pomona. and Ruben S Ayala. Each division has a lieutenant governor, a student leader who carries out the district's policies and provides support to the clubs. Out lieutenant governor is Yahir Perez.

Club
Consists of a president, one or more vice presidents, secretary, treasurer, editor, and most importantly, YOU, the member.

What are DCMs, Fall Rally South and DCON?

A little breakdown of Key Club lingo:

DCM
- Stands for Division Council Meeting. A DCM is hosted each month, where all clubs (7) in the division can gather to share club, division, and district updates. DCMs are a great place to interact with members and officers from different clubs, play fun games/icebreakers, and more! These DCMs are hosted by the Lt. Governor and the Division Leadership Team.

Fall Rally South

- Fall Rally South is a huge annual Key Club Fundraising event held at Six Flags. Thousands of members gather in November to have fun, raise money, and meet new people from Southern California. LTGs and the District's Executive Officers are "auctioned" off to divisions - the winning Division is able to then spend a designated period of time with the "purchased" person. Auction funds and a portion of the ticket sales for both events go towards the Pediatric Trauma Program.

DCON

- Stands for District Convention. DCON is perhaps the biggest Key Club event of the year! Held at the end of International's electoral year, this event provides the opportunity to meet thousands of Key Clubbers from the span of three states, be recognized for the club's achievements, elect the upcoming term's Executive Board, and dance the night away at the Governor's Ball. DCON is a great event that truly showcases the best that CNH has to offer. For the 2022-2023 school year, it will be held in Ontario!

How do I become an officer?

Key Club officer positions are open to any student who desires to become a leader in Colony High and community and wishes to provide service to others. Each officer of a Key Club must be willing to perform at least 25 hours a year of combined service to  home, school and community.
